Monday's Important Inorganic Events at CSC2016

Monday's conference schedule is highlighted by the Rio Tinto Alcan Award Lecture presented by Professor Michael O. Wolf from the University of British Columbia. His talk is scheduled for in room 200D at 3:20pm. The title of his talk is "Making Conjugated Mateirials Shine".

The evening showcase is the ever-popular Bruker Suite party.

Sláinte! Inorganic Mixer to be held at Patty Boland's!

The 2015 CSC meeting is rapidly approaching and details of the scientific program are now available. The all-important social program is also coming into focus... before it eventually goes out of focus as the festivities begin. Mark your calendars, the Inorganic mixer is officially scheduled for Tuesday, June 16th at 8pm at Patty Boland's Irish Pub & Eatery (101 Clarence St). An appetizer

Inorganic community mourns the loss of Dr. Tom Ziegler

It is with great sadness that the inorganic community learned that Tom Ziegler, a world leader in the area of theoretical chemistry applied to inorganic systems, passed away on March 27, 2015. Among many honours and distinctions, he was awarded our division's Alcan award in 1994 and his research achievements will continue to lead many areas of inorganic chemistry.

With just over 125 posters on the Vancouver Convention Centre floor, the inorganic division lead the way in poster presentations at this year's annual meeting. One also couldn't help but be impressed by the quality of the posters either!

CSC Inorganic Division is now on Facebook!

The CSC Inorganic Division joined Facebook just before this year's CSC meeting, providing a more informal and interactive format for members of the inorganic division to find out about official Division news as well as encouraging discussions about new and upcoming events. CSC2014 - only ten days away!

 We are just ten days away from the start of the CSC2014 meeting at the Convention Centre in Downtown Vancouver. The schedule looks amazing (take a look for yourself here) and we are looking forward to seeing all of you there.
