Quantity and quality at the CSC2014 Inorganic poster session

With just over 125 posters on the Vancouver Convention Centre floor, the inorganic division lead the way in poster presentations at this year's annual meeting. One also couldn't help but be impressed by the quality of the posters either!

PDF in synthesis at the University of Utah

The Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC) at the University of Utah (Salt Lake City) is seeking an outstanding, highly motivated postdoctoral research candidate. The successful candidate must have extensive experience in the synthesis and characterization of molecular materials (organic/organometallic/coordination compounds) for study and evaluation as component materials for a variety of molecular-based spintronic devices. The position will be within the Spin Injection Focused Research Group of the Organic Spintronics IRG.

The research group of Dr. Heikki M. Tuononen at the University of Jyväskylä, Finland is looking for interested postdoctoral level candidates to submit a joint application to the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA). This is the most prestigious mobility grant available within the EU’s Horizon 2020 framework program for research and innovation.The best candidate applicants are those with research background in synthetic inorganic chemistry and who wish to increase their knowledge in theoretical and computational methods while in Finland.

An 18 month post-doctoral position (starting October 2014) is available in the laboratories of Dr. Anne Harrison-Marchand / Dr. Jacques Maddaluno at the Université de Rouen. The project foscuses on structure-reactivity relationships and on the characterization of highly sensitive organometallics reactants. The partners have a common interest in the use of innovative organometallic tools such as alkali metallated (Li, Na, K) phosphide boranes (MPB) from which unexplained results have recently been obtained.
